Forgotten Archive! Zios' Hidden Lore of Jamaa finally revealed!

Okay guys, today some HUGE news in terms of AJ lore has been released, so let's check that out immediately!
As the article reads, stairs have opened up under the Zios statue.
I am so excited to see what's down below!!

When you first enter, there is sunlight streaming through the hole. An ominous flute tune is playing, and the sound of rushing water can be heard.
As you go down the stairs, there is a shop selling Zios and Mira clothes. The sign looks like it's in a foreign language. Is this ancient Jammaian?
The shop's official name is Forgotten Relics.
As you approach this beautiful golden statue of Zios, you can click on the books next to him to read an ancient passage.
"And so it was that Mira and I were charged with watching over this land and protecting all those who dwell here..."
-from The Origins of the Guardian Spirits
This is extremely interesting. First of all, the speaker seems to be Zios, which could indicate that he has been here. The book is called The Origins of the Guardian Spirits, which is fascinating. Did Zios write it? Did he write all of the books in this room?

Evidence could point to Zios being the author of all of the various books and scrolls because the title of the shop, which is most likely in an ancient Jamaaian language, is unreadable to us. So if this Forgotten Archive room has been closed off since ancient times, if the animals that could have been in here at the time only spoke that ancient language, then the books would have to have been by Zios, because he could've been the only one to speak modern language.

Like I said, this is HUGE to Jammers who love AJ lore [like myself ^^]

There are several scrolls sitting on a shelf above the statue that read:
A dark shadow is creeping across the land, and I fear this new threat may be more terrible than any Jamaa has ever seen." - from A Complete History of Jamaa, Vol. XXIV
This one can obviously be owed to the first spread of the Phantoms, and the speaker may be Zios. Also, I'd really like to get my hands on this Complete History of Jamaa book, anyone else?

Side note: By now, you'd expect my old theory about Zios to be crumbling into dust. But no, a majority of it still stands. Although in the passages, which seem to have Zios as the narrator, seem that he still had feelings for Mira, you have to remember that this room has not been opened since ancient times. But now, I'm viewing him as less of a malicious threat out to get Mira and more of a kind Guardian Spirit ready to help Jammers plus scold Mira for creating the Phantoms.

To the right we have something extremely interesting. Ok, I'm just going to go ahead and say it right now: I believe these are new adventure portals. Of course, that looks pretty obvious, but with Animal Jam, you never really know what to expect.

They could be the portals that the Phantoms dragged Zios through. What if we're supposed to go in and rescue him with Mira on adventures? Maybe Zios opening up the Forgotten Archive is a call for help? Maybe he's seeking Mira's help?

That would make sense if these new adventures involved the two guardian spirits, because the set of old adventures [the ones you can find at Adventure Base Camp] centered around each of the main Alphas. First Greely was missing, then Peck - and the other Alphas [plus the player] had to go rescue them. And then maybe these new adventures could be Zios missing and Mira - plus the player - going to rescue him. Just a thought.

Up past the waterfall is a small, ancient-looking room.

There are three new plaques here.
The ancient lines of power that flow throughout Jamaa can be used for good... but they can also be drawn upon for a darker purpose." - from The Natural Wonders of Jamaa..... [what is that illustration? a diagram of the solar eclipse?]
This is something that has never been touched on before in Animal Jam lore. This is interesting, but we have to know more about it for it to really stand out. Who knows, these lines of power could play a role in the plausible new adventures.

It is my hope that the history of Jamaa may be preserved, so that future generations may learn from past mistakes." -from Jamaa's Past, Present, and Future
There is a depiction of Mira here that I find interesting. Are the shadows of the trees grabbing her? trapping her? Or simply casting their shadows on her?

This is the final passage:
"I will soon seal this archive from the world. The next time these words are read, the eclipse will have passed, and the next chapter of our story will begin." - from Zios' Journal
Wait, wait, wait, Zios had a journal? And he's the speaker! And what is that illustration? It looks like an eclipse, but also an eye. Is it Zios' eye? Is this the true face of Zios? He sealed the archive!

I will post more theory and news tomorrow because I'm too tired and I have to sleep!

So happy jamming,

Rare Item Monday! Rare Floppy Hat + Taking Art Requests?

Hey Jammers! It's Rare Item Monday today, so you can find a rare item in stores! The rare item today is a Rare Floppy Hat.

The hat can be found on the 14th page of Jam Mart Clothing.
It can be bought for 900 gems, and only comes in one color.
it doesn't look too great on my lynx, but it's super stylish. trust me on this.

On a side note, you only have a few days left to pick up a French Braid or an actual Floppy Hat.

And on a second side note, I mayyy be taking portrait requests. My art isn't that great, I draw with a laptop mouse, but the price is only about 2 den betas. Here are some examples:

The standard portrait has the name of the animal and/or the username of the player, plus the background that best suits the color palette of the animal.

Copy this, fill it out and paste it in the comments.

AJ's 7th Birthday! Cake Locations + Other Amazing News

Welcome to my first real post! Today, I will reviewing all of the recent news and Animal Jam's 7th birthday.

Animal Jam traditionally gives out these codes which award the birthday cakes, but this time around there are seven whole cakes! They are supposed to represent the 7 wonders of Jamaa, and I'm not complaining about seven whole birthday cakes.

You can use the code AJBDAY7 to get 777 gems. You can use those gems to buy all 7 cakes, which cost 77 gems each.

The first cake can be found near the path to Sarepia Forest in Jamaa Township. It depicts the Mira Statue on top of blue frosting, which I hope is blueberry-flavored.

The next cake is in Coral Canyons, at the very highest point. It is next to the Sky High game. It depicts the infamous archway that Jammers had tried so hard to break.

The next cake is in Crystal Sands. It seems hard to find, but is is blending in next to the Pet Wash. The cake shows a huge waterslide. I wonder what flavor the sand is?

The next cake can be found nestled between two waterfalls in Kimbara Outback.  All of a sudden I wish these cakes existed in real life...

The next cake is hidden away in the caves of Appondale. It is next to the Fruit Slinger game. For some reason I think the little wasp nest dangling from the tree is a little gumball.

Next, the Temple of Zios cake can be found near the Chamber of Knowledge. The lynx on the banner looks hungry for that cake.

The final cake can be found at the summit of Mt. Shiveer. The mountaintop looks almost nothing like how I've imagined it.

Here are all of the cakes from the past next to the new ones. :D

I don't really know how I feel about Animal Jam giving us seven buyable cakes. On one paw, SEVEN WHOLE CAKES, which must have taken a lot of creativity, but on the other paw, they won't be as special as the last cakes, since there are so many of them and they are purchasable.

Also, why no Sarepia Forest? I understand the oceans being left out, but they could've not done Jamaa Township and made the Mira cake for Sarepia Forest instead, which would've worked because you can summon Mira there.

Anyway, onto the Birthday Party!

When you arrive you are greeted by a whole rim of bronze alpha statues! The usual unenthusiastic birthday music starts playing, before kicking up into an upbeat tune. The birthday music, by the way, is available for purchase.

Did I mention you're on top of a giant birthday cake?
If you click the ice cream in the distance you get a vanilla cone pop up next to you!

There are two shops here, both of which sell Alpha-related items.
One of them sells charm necklaces of the original six alphas, which I really like. Which Alpha is your favorite?

Here is where the bronze statues of each and every Alpha are sold. Also, doesn't it make you wonder about some of them, the ones we have never heard at all? Edmund, Juno, Atlas, and Harper. I wonder what their stories are.

At the top, there is a huge candle, which is in the shape of a 7.

And in other news, Autumn Armor has arrived. I have to say, it looks pretty cool, especially with the leaf-woven horns.
And owls are on sale. Which is cool, I guess, but it would have been better if they made them nonmember. (But then maybe they'd have to make the Forgotten Desert nonmember? Or I guess they could keep it a members-only adventure).

The Summer Carnival is leaving, guys. Oh well... I guess it was for the best. I was getting a bit sick of it anyway. Now I'll just bundle up my 25,324 tickets and leave...

Oh! The Animal Jam desktop app is here! I've heard about this before. I'll have to try it out sometime since Animal Jam just randomly quits sometimes on my browser >:(

Oh look! More animals that nobody uses are coming and going. I like goats a lot, though. I wonder what would happen if Arctic Wolves went traveling? ;) [The world would fall apart]

That's all I have for today, Jammers. Stay tuned and keep exploring!
